Warehouse Pallet Racking – Case Study

Code Locks came to Oracle Storage requiring storage systems for their new warehouse, this included the requirement for pallet storage and also small parts storage.

Codelocks is an innovative designer and manufacturer of electronic and mechanical push button locks for doors, cabinets and locker.

Longspan Racking & Picking Bins

Designed to store small parts, enabling the team team of engineers to picks parts quickly while maintaining everything in order.

Pallet Racking

We designed the pallet racking system, so that it would cater for the 1000mm deep by using a 900mm deep frame (allowing for the correct overhang) plus decking each level with open slatted boarding. The open boarding took the same weight as the 2000kg for a pair of beams, this gave Codelocks the flexibly to use the storage levels for smaller pallets or levels for the storage of handpicked items.

Reason that Oracle was awarded the project was due to:

The solution offered - to store existing pallets with the right growth plan.
Expertise in maximising storage capacity of the area given to the pallet racking.
The competitive price offered.
The speed of supply & installation, fitted the build program of the new HQ.
Local support for spares, repairs and reconfiguration if required.
