Steel Structural Mezzanine Flooring

When your warehouse or building space just isn't enough, make use of your unused air space, which you pay for! By utilising this space it can provide you with extra office or storage space, maybe a manufacturing or production area.

Each mezzanine floor is specifically designed to suit your needs, using our extensive expertise.

The picture on the right shows a storage mezzanine floor, which has been fire rated. The fire rating is a suspended ceiling, with the edge/sides of the floor having a fascia. All columns are also fire protected and this is done by cladding them. Fire protection gives anybody up on the floor, should there be a fire underneath, time to go to the nearest fire exit. Not all floors need fire protection.

We provide a complete package taking the project from design stage all the way through to manufacturing and installation. We will take care of planning applications and gain full local authority approval relieving you of all the stress and freeing up your time to deal with your business.

All designs are individually tailored to meet the specific requirements for various loadings and finishes that you may have.
You are not restricted to just one level either. If you have the room, then you may be able to take advantage of multi-tier flooring.

If there is a need for fire protection, this can be applied.
If you are unsure, then we will be happy to advise you on this and any other queries you may have.

SPECIFICATION

Each Individual floor is different to the next, each is designed, manufactured for your requirement.

Below is a list of common items with information, which may help.

DECKING: 38mm flooring grade particle board TG2 grade p8 natural finish

SECONDARY JOISTS: Cold formed “C” section manufactured from pre-hot dipped galvanised mild steel to BS2989. Inset into main beams to keep floor depth to a minimum.

MAIN BEAMS: Hot rolled painted universal beams.

COLUMNS: Hot rolled painted rolled hollow sections.

BASE PLATES: Usually 300mmx 300mm square plates, but this will differ, depending on your floor slab details

SITE CLEARANCE: Any waste materials will be neatly stacked on site to be disposed of by others (you will need to advise if you require us to provide a waste skip)

PAINT FINISH: Our standard colours are azure Blue (ral 5010) and graphite Grey (ral 7024) international 222 air drying enamel full gloss. We can offer a variety of other colours which would incurr an additional cost.

DELIVERY: Generally three to four weeks from approval

INSTALLATION: Before this time, the site must be clear and level and have reasonable access. Special CDM requirements to be allowed for by others (eg safety netting etc.)

BUILDING REGULATIONS: The structure has to conform with building regulations. We can make this application on your behalf and the fee would be added to the floor costs. approx.£588.00 + vat
